The Dales Way passes through Buckden.  No 2 Dalegarth is an ideal location for walking sections of this famous trail from Ilkley to Windermere.

Fly fishing for wild brown trout on the River Wharfe at Buckden is some of the best available in Britain.

If you like Wensleydale cheese then visit the home of the real thing at the Wensleydale Creamery
Take the whole family to the visitor centre located in Hawes.

For a quirky day out for all the family try visiting the Forbidden Corner at Middleham.  Warning you must book in advance.

If you like a bit of medieval history and like visiting castles there are Skipton Castle and Mddleham Castle all within a short driving distance.

For lunchtimes and evenings visit the George Inn at Hubberholme, the Buck Inn
in Buckden itself and slightly further afield the White Lion Inn at Cray, all serving excellent locally brewed ales and good food.
